ABOUT KATELYN STEARMAN - LCMHCA
I have always had a deep love for exploring the relationship between the heart, soul, and mind. This love drove me to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio and to earn my Master’s degree with honors in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with concentrations in Christian Counseling and Crisis and Trauma Counseling.
I thoroughly enjoy -- and am known for -- walking alongside children, adolescents, and young adults and cultivating an individualized, therapeutic relationship with them. I use a broad range of interventions that are aimed towards my ultimate goal of helping my clients come to understand their inherent worth, while supporting them in reaching their fullest potential.
Counseling allows for my clients to create a solid foundation to build their lives upon -- wherein there will be plenty of transitions, moral questioning, and a plethora of opportunities for immense personal growth. I am fully confident that my desire to be an instrument of healing for those in need of mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual renewal, as well as my love for working with my clients, will shine through with the passion I will have as their therapist. I cannot imagine a more perfect way for me to serve, love, and work using my degrees.
When I am not doing outpatient therapy, you can find me working as a school counselor at a local high school. And when I am not doing the counseling work that I love, you can find me at sporting events, concerts, or facetiming my niece and nephew.
