ABOUT JACKIE KURTZ - LCMHC, OWNER
Jackie is an experienced therapist who loves working with teens and adults. She especially enjoys ages 13 - 30, when life is full of changes and transitions. Jackie realizes that making the appointment can be the hardest step and it can sometimes be intimidating to reach out to someone and talk about matters that we hold close to our hearts. She provides a relaxing and comfortable environment where clients can have a safe place to address patterns, thoughts or behaviors that are holding them back from their potential. Jackie uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with Solution Focused Therapy.
Jackie was a special educator for 12 years and a school counselor for 9 years. She loved those years in her career, but now enjoys assisting clients with establishing goals, working on accountability and adapting to transitions of life in a more consistent setting.
Jackie earned her Bachelors in Special Education from Eastern Illinois University and holds a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. When she’s not busy working, Jackie enjoys spending time with her friends, visiting her two young adult children and listening to live music with her husband.
